Finally Back Here

Well, after disappearing for 6 months, I am back! I wasn’t missing because I went on UFO, but life has changes quite a bit and I am getting really busy with stuff. I didn’t get to see little Billion on that Friday in my last blog. It was for quite a while after that, I got to peep on him from the window outside the hospital twice. He was infected by Toxo virus in his brain and fought for it for closed to 3 months. Then he left us peacefully. It was in one way a pain, but in other way relieve to the family. The key point is we want the best for Billion and I think he had got the best for his life. My wedding went on. We were really happy to see our family and friends that send us their blessing and help up with the occasion. The entire process put us through a wonderful experience and strengthens the ties between our good friends and family members. The marriage so far is a dream come true and the experiences with the new family are making us better people in sharing and caring. It’s a ...

Welcome, Billion Cherng!

I was still in Monday blue as the past weekend was really tiring. We didn’t really sleep and we departed from home as early as 4a.m. on Sunday morning for betrothal in J.B and back. Everything went well and we felt really happy to have my future brother in law around to help up and drove throughout most of the journey. Some how I feel occasion like this also bring family members together. While I was busy kicking off the first day of the week by finalizing 2 proposals, I received a text from bro that we have got our first nephew – Billion. I was anxious to know more but there were very little information available. The Monday blues was gone and I started to spread the good news around. A little later after that, I received calls from my brother-in-law and mum. The process of delivery is smooth. Baby is fine but very tiny - only 1.8 kg, compared to normal baby that weight around 2.5 -3kg. Doctor has to keep Billion in ICU until he is ready to go home. I am sure the entire family is very...

New life

Life is getting so much busier… Gosh, I am missing from here for close to 2 months. Basically, what happened was, we have finally announced our wedding and the past 2 months are all about the preparations. Other than our regular family dinners, we filled our weekends, rest days and public holidays finalizing pre-wedding albums, wedding dinner invitation cards; preparing the guest list, song list, selecting photographers, videographers, make-up artists, best men and bridesmaid; shopping for auspicious items needed; started out wedding web site; sending our invitations & RSVP etc… Of course, the most remarkable one is our Registration of Marriage that happened on 20th May in Putrajaya. Since we started that page of our life there, things are getting a little different. We both have an additional “accessory”/ring on our wedding figures and I think we feel like “real adults” now being married. :) We have also gone through some “turbulence” throughout the preparation, but that helped us...

Bad day

It was a bad day for me. Feeling very tired. Still have lots of battles to fight, while need to be aware of people that might try to attack me from the back. Glad that my friend called up to bitch about her stories. Suddenly felt better, could be feeling warm because she called, or the stories reminded me there are more stupid people out there. Sometimes, just have to laugh at the issues perhaps. Then just keep moving :)

What a day

One of the colleagues has failed to prove himself during the probation months and the company decided to drop him. Despite the fact it is what should happen for company’s good, my heart feel a bit uneasy. For the first time, I walked in the nearest Chinese herbal store to pick up some herbal ingredient for soup. On our way out, the road traffic was a bit slow, and a police car was trying to join the congestion. When our car went nearer to the junction, we saw some crowd on the road and obviously, there was an accident… with white cloth on the road surrounded by the crowd. We need to take that road, so when our car turned, the white cloth was just lying on the next lane at my left hand side. Never experience it in life, I took a peek - at the end of the cloth was a pair of black, skinny legs. A motor bike lied on the road, 45 degrees slanted, about 4 meters away. CCH saw 2 airbags of the car involved were out. We feel very sorry to the family of the victim and we reminded ourselves to d...

The taste to remember

I was really lucky, after more than 10 years staying in KL, I get to enjoy weekly home-cook food since more than 6 months ago. Nowadays, I am always looking forward to weekends despite the fact that I need to watch my weight issue. Never realized how precious to have home-cook food, until I stayed out, alone and 300km away from home. The wonderful part is not just the tantalizing taste alone (I assume most women from my mum’s era cook well), but also the love, care and company that comes together for the entire meal. Not to mention, when you are craving for a particular dish and it appears on the dinner table the same night. The home made “dang gui” soup I had yesterday triggered me to drop a line here. I am certainly thankful to my in-law to be and at the same time, miss how my mum used to cook for me. Thanks mums, and I hope I would be able to cook for my loved ones/kids in future. LOL!

That's all because you are not pretty

It could be rather annoying when you need to deal with people that are over protective, especially those from the servicing industry. I have recently gone for a photo shoot and the result was not as expected. I told them how I felt and as usual, they tried to blame it on some other things, e.g. “You sweat easily under outdoor environment.” (who doesn’t, under that kind of circumstances especially, unless your are CLOGGED. Isn't that their job to ensure that people are in their best for the shoot?!). It was rather obvious they messed up my look/make-up for outdoor series (which we paid RM600 extra to do that). The initial idea was to enhance my look but eventually they screwed-up. Of course, they did not really bring up this topic at all with me. I chose to avoid further discussion that might lead to argument. Reasons are… firstly, I always try not to let my bitchiness out unless necessary; secondly, the argument wouldn’t make any improvement to the photos and not to mention any com...
